여기 미국도 기름값이 많이 올랐습니다. 1갤런(약3.7L) $4에 가까워지고 있습니다.


전체적인 조명이 시시각각 바뀌어서 더욱 아름다운 모습을 나타냅니다.





전체적인 디자인과 조화를 이루는 쓰레기통과 재활용 분리수거함입니다.

얼마전 MOTOR TREND 잡지에 나온 사진에서 멋진 배경의 건물을 보고 찾아보니
LA에 있는 B.P Gas Station (주유소) 라는 것을 알게 되었습니다.

친구와 함께 늦은밤 이 곳을 찾았는데 생각보다 규모는 크지 않았지만,
독특한 형상의 아름다운 건물을 볼 수 있었습니다.

환경을 우선으로 한 획기적인 구조의 이 주유소는
대부분의 소재에 재활용을 활용하거나 재활용이 가능한 소재를 사용하였다고 합니다.

미래의 주유소를 상징하는 이 곳은
앞으로 우리가 환경에 대해서 얼마나 더 깊히 생각하고 준비해야하는지
다시한번 느끼게 해주는 것 같습니다.




잡지에서 본 것처럼 멋진 사진은 찍지 못했지만,
짧은 드라이브와 함께 새로운 곳을 접해보는 것 자체가 즐거운 일인거 같습니다.

At the corner of Olympic and Robertson in Los Angeles,
you’ll find a new kind of gas station. It isn’t like an ordinary gas station.

We started with the typical, everyday station on that corner and renovated
it in an eco-friendly way — a little greener in its design and materials and in
its use of water and energy.

It’s not a prototype “station of the future.”
It’s a station for today that’s a little better, a living lab where we can try out ideas for other stations and where people can find ideas they might want to bring into their own lives. It’s a kind of a conversation between BP and people who come into the station, a conversation about how we can both
move up a notch on the greencurve.

This idea grew out of BP's commitment to balancing society's need for energy
with a responsible approach to the environment. It reflects our belief that small
steps in the right direction can make a difference.
